WW2 pic background id wanted

I have been looking into this shot for quite a while now, the foreground is fairly simple its a Boston III equipped with rockets, but the background has me baffled...any help with it would be very much apreciated:-D

BTW this is my first(hello) /second post and i hope its in the right place:confused:

Do you have a date for the picture?

Looking at the RP launcher installation it would appear to be a trial fit perhaps to clear the Boston for Coastal Command anti-sub operations.

On Key Forums I think we have settled on Boscombe, Hooton Park was suggested aswel.
Be nice to confirm.

It is NOT Hooton Park!

Definitely not Old Sarum either, agree with Dave it isn't Hooton Park either.

Other nots are Henlow, Eastleigh, Duxford or Filton.

Boscombe is probably right, but could it be Tangmere??

Ok first its sometime in ww2 probably from 42 onwards but the actual date is not known to me

Yes i have posted it on Key Forums the general concencus is that its Boscombe Down but i didnt want opinions influenced by that thread on this forum, hence not saying anything about it:oops:

Coastal command trials has also been mentioned see attached close up of the rockets

Good point about Tangmere but I think Brockworth is unlikely, although possible. BD is still favourite!

I think that with the Hangars being in the same arrangements as Boscombe, and the aircrfat clearly having a trials rocket fit, Boscombe is looking good;)
