Very nice. Was pleasantly surprised to see Northleach used as an example.

The leading paragraph was particularly relevant - the drawing shown was actually the proposed plan for it's upgrade to full satellite status and shows several hangars/buildings that never existed and misses a few out so indeed doesn't match up.

An impressive document, but I have to say that when I got to the spreadsheet I was disappointed. I first looked at (ex) home turf and found Hampstead Norris just listed as Airborne Forces (which it was for precisely 12 months). Prior to that it was four years 15 OTU. Then I looked for the other 15 OTU bases, and found Mount Farm just listed as Photo Recon, but Harwell? Harwell, a pre-war airfield with 15 OTU and then Airborne is completely missed off the list!!

As explained in the text, many airfields had multiple functions during the conflict and it wasn't possible to list all functions.
Harwell is not included as being an Expansion Period station it wasn't a temporary airfield - which is what the report is all about.
We originally had a number of 'borderline' stations and these were eventually removed from the audit.

I replied earlier, but it seems to have gone astray. Yes apologies, by the time I had gone back and forth on the spreadsheet, I had lost the plot and forgotten about the `temporary' aspect - too late in the evening. If by any chance the doc gets reworked at anytime, can I suggest the header line in the spreadsheet gets repeated on every page? It's difficult for a first time user to remember what a tick or number in the nth column is referring to, and a hell of fag to go back and forth. I ended up having to write the column headings down on paper.
