Can anyone shed any details on the RATO trial held during 1960 at Hatfield using XA930? Specifically, how was the aircraft modified in order to control the rocket ignition, and when was it converted back to a standard B(1)? I've also read that the fuselage was slightly twisted during the trials which meant that the aircraft flew in a kind of slow corkscrew effect - was this correct and why?
