I can state that two independent rational people heard the V1 at the correct time and date and a team recovered it and took it away the following day.
The ARP at the Valley Works 3 miles away reported two red alerts on 24th and 28th December 1944 noted as
The two alerts in December 1944 Sunday 24th and Friday 28th, were apparently for Flying Bombs (V.1) launched from Aircraft.
This was not at Kelsall which is 20 miles away.
I have spoken to the author as stated above and his view is that if he didn't know about it couldn't be true.
We will be visiting the site tomorrow with a view to putting in metal detectors. If all else fails we will be sending in our Dowsers.
