HI All

I am still in pursuit of info on a particular crash near Oakington in May 1941 and suddenly thought that there may be more available in the records of the 'team' that would have cleared up the wreckage.

I believe that this would have been from an MU? So the question is which would have served Oakington at that time. Or if not an MU is there anyway I could dig deeper to find anything about the recovery of the wreckage?

Cheers
James

I' sure that the Repair and Salvage Unit. 54MU would be responsible.

I note Sturtivant has ''Cambridge' from 4.11.39 to 1.3.45 when it moved to Newmarket.

However the Air Ministry AP3397 has a chart for December 1944 which states Newmarket.

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite
