There's also a Falconet circular runway adjacent to the Bustard site on Larkhill ranges

I can remember reading of experiments in the USA regarding the concept of circular runways. It was in the american magazine 'Flying' and they used a circular car testing circuit and there were photos of a T28 landing and taking off.
Date was mid '60s.

I just copied the description in Post #4 to add to the record on Canmore, they just had that part of Rangehead down as "Radio Mast(S) (20th Century)". They have some nice aerial photographs of it too.
