Airfield Building Camouflage

Airfield Building Camouflage was created by CDP
A project I have at the back of my mind at the moment is to start building, in 1:72nd scale, selected airfield buildings. Whilst the plans for some of these are available, what I don't know is, how they were finished externally.
Does anyone know of any documents or references which will help?
I know that disruptive camouflage did (and indeed does still does) exist on airfield buildings but what was the official doctrine? Was there a set pattern or was it just a randomised effect, left up to whoever the contractors were?
This is something, until now, I've never really thought about!
Might be worth getting a discussion going?

If you contact the raf museum they normally have quite a lot of plans on file.
If you know the building desighn number just let them know and if they have it they will send you a copy for a small fee.
If you visit the raf museum website you can order them through there.
