Good morning,

I am looking for some help in researching HMS Merlin (aka Donibristle) during the 1945 and 1946 time period. We have a 1943 Stinson Reliant AT-19 that was stationed at Donibristle during this time frame and we believe it may have been active during the August 1945 to November 1945 time frame with the 782nd Communications Squadron. Unfortunately our information to this point is very limited other than that. We also know the aircraft was listed as FL110 in the records.

I'm hoping to find more information about what the aircraft may have done or information about the 782nd Communications squadron. I've contacted the FAA museum and the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Museum and they have gotten me to this point with the information above.

Thanks in advance!

Bill

I did attempt to contact them however a membership is required and I am not able to access any forums to ask the question.
