Broomhill/Wombwell airfield (Barnsley)

Hi guys

Does anybody have any info on the airfield that was situated here way back when. Ive seen info it dates back to WW1.

"0.5 miles W of Broomhill and 0.75 miles W of Wombwell on N side of Waterside Park .
An Home Defence Night landing Ground class 3 for 33 (HD) Squadron , Broomhill was opened in June 1916 , reclassified as a HD NLG2 on 31 March 1917 and remained open until late 1918 ."
