Airfield identification help please

Hi everyone new to forum. Have acquired some old photos of my grandfather who joined RAF in 1919. Was a fitter by trade. I know he was at Halton in 1919 and Cranwell in 1925-27 with stints in India and Mesopotamia in between. I think given layers of clothing and substantial buildings in the background that the photos are somewhere in the UK, but I’d like to pinpoint them if I can? The background detail is distant and hazy but there may be other tell tale thing I am missing. If I post the pictures do you think you might be able to help?

Yes post away and we will have a go. Welcome to the forum.

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

The Brisfit photo might be in one of the 'F' type hangars at Halton or Cranwell North field but I honestly can't recall what the roof trusses looked like; when we kept our microlights in one at Halton I was more interested in the aircraft than the hangar roof!
