Berkshire Airfields?

Just been taking a look at the Southern Airfields section (I used to work at Fairoaks), and I was also hoping to find a thread about White Waltham (I worked there too). White Waltham has a fascinating history, particularly WRT the ATA. I even had the good fortune to meet Lettice Curtis on a few occasions. I wish I'd known back then the wonderful opportunity I had there, but alas. Nineteen and self-centred, what can you say?

I would also be interested to view any information/pictures of Woodley, particularly as my dad has some Miles Gemini time in his log book. I went to the museum once - it was shut

Hello Essex Girl, If you look at page 7 of the memorials thread you will see the photograph that I took of the monument there. I've also got a video that I recorded off the television about ten years ago of the ATA which covers White Waltham, Lettice Curtice included...

Hi EG, Berkshire is in the Northern Home Counties and does appear under that section. Almost unbelievably given its importance, there isn't a White Waltham thread yet.
Maybe you're the girl to start a thread on it, any info or pics are useful!
