RAF Penkridge / Otherton airfield was created by WILLIAMARNOLD
Near the village of Penkridge in Staffordshire the second world war site of RAF Penkridge (some seem to think it was RAF Pillaton) is next to a modern airfield but the remaining buildings are not accesible from it and have to be approached from a bridle path .The buildings are part of an estate managed business park which includes Pillaton Farm .These snaps were taken by me as i passed by This last snap is taken from the side of the M6 and shows on the skylnie top right the backbone tower at Pye Green

Is this airfield very close to the M6? Ive seen aircraft taxying on the new airfield from the M6, must admit I damn near caused an accident!

What were aircraft doing on the M6, misidentified the runway?

What a neat little airfield! Plenty of hangarage too but it looks a bit small, maybe microlights only?
