im doing alot of reserch on raf culmhead near taunton where can i obtain building plans of the airfield and i know its a long shot is there anyone with info not i have already about a plane crash that happened august 24th 1941 near culmhead
The RAF Museum at Hendon, if I recall they have an enquiries email address.
My interest interest in Culmhead is the adjacent bombing range on Tricky Warren. There appears to be a small direction arrow at ST 20158 15020 (National Grid Ref) and the target was somewhere around ST 19926 15236. The arrow only appears for a short while (see photos in the link below) and is gone by 1946.
EDIT: Beaten to it by a few minutes!!
This link is to a series of aerial photos of the airfield via Historic England and covering various dates
I have just downloaded the reports on Culmhead and they are great. I know that there are more reports in the membership area to download (and I have) but you seem to post up more than are currently available on the website. Is there a secret 'stash' of them somewhere or am i just unaware of how to access them?

Difficult to know what info you already have about the crash, although from discussions elsewhere that you are having you must be talking about Hurricane Z2913
