I promise I have tried the search function but I did not get an answer.
I have been looking into the army's home front defence plans for RAF airfields in April/May 1941.
There appear to be three categories listed in Western Command army records for what I presume is their defence -.A, B and C. Hawarden is ranked B and its satellite Wrexham C. This pattern follows for Ternhill, Shawbury, High Ercall and Cosford and their satellites.
None is marked A. Given their high importance with large stocks of aircraft, at several of them what do these categories actually mean? Does anyone have a definition, or point me to where I could find one?
I have tried to upload a photograph of the original for information but with no success, due to my incompetence.
