definitely some interesting items, some of the descriptions are a little humorous I liked the sand brown belt! Probably more junk than "good" stuff. I would expect a few bargains to be had but probably some stupid money as well. for some items.

Another update ! I understand that the fort itself has been sold to new owners and it is only the contents which are being auctioned off and the viewing days have been extended to a full week , Monday 14th to Friday the 18th and on the morning of the 19th too . The auction is now being held solely online starting on the afternoon of the 19th for one week .

I intend to visit on one of the viewing days , no need to pre-book a slot just turn up , but if anyone needs further information I suggest you telephone the auctioneers in Hull and do not email or complete their online form as you will not receive a reply . I type from experience !

I went along to the auction public viewing day at Fort Paull on Thursday 17 September , my first visit and free entry too ! Sadly I found the general condition of the lots on sale to be poor and I include the aircraft in that and even the fort itself is in need of some TLC and restoration which I expect will not be cheap ?
Mention of money and as of tonight the current bids on the aircraft are ;
Beverley £16,000
Hunter £7,000
Bulldog £500
Blackburn Triplane REP £650
There are several miscellaneous aviation items including spare wheels for the Beverley , prop boss spinner covers and what I think is an under bid 'scale model of a prototype Blackburn Beverley transport plane' at £280 which even without wings seems a steal ?
Bidding continues on line and finishes on Saturday and as ever look at the Gilbert Baitson website for the full details .
