Anybody knows about the below light arrangement probably floodlights at threshold. This was taken in a RNAS airfield.

Looks like the back of four standard sodium lights in a row. Dunno about the box structure though.

I can't help you there, but here's a better photo of the sodium, surrounding a Vulcan at Waddo.

Without knowing the exact location of those lights and assuming they are sodium floods it is impossible to say. Are you sure that those shown are on a runway edge?

Some RNAS stations had a runway configured for deck landing practice with appropriate lighting and approach aids.

I noticed that the pictures of the B2 to Fairford seemed to show very similar portable light around it when it was parked up, presumably standard procedure - would not want someone stealing it!

Possibly Wingbars - green at the approach end and red at the downwind end. The could be either elevated (as these are) or flush. Plenty on the web about them (hard work!) But most descriptions state 'a minimum of five lights'
Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite :twisted:

Didn't the RNAS cease to exist in 1918 when it was merged with the RFC to become the RAF?
