I have shown this one before. I bought it from Thorpe Abbotts. It's been hanging here for the last 30 years ! But there is a defect ?

Is it called a T towel for a reason?

This Tea Towel was bought for me during a visit to East Kirkby 2007. The Lady who bought it, was just three months old when her Dad was shot-down. This being during that infamous Nuremberg raid of March 30-31 1944. He was a Navigator on one of the Many Lancaster's lost that night. But he bailed-out successfully, and managed to evade for a couple of days, then off to a POW camp.

My 2009, 75th anniversary tea towel celebrating the Mildenhall to Melbourne Air Race still sealed in its cellophane wrapper .

With all the biodegradable stuff around, a lot of the bits and bobs stored in the loft are now in crumbling bags. I haven't heard cellophane mentioned for a while. I can't recall if the original stuff was biodegradable on its own or required a catalyst of some sort, either way check it is still up to the job.
