Way back around 1957 a house near to Hurn had about a dozen Harvard canopies in use as garden cloches. The house is still there ...not so the canopies!
Our garden shed had the hut number board from hut 51 at Hawkinge - I think the original building was demolished decades ag,o as was our shed, although the old shed door remains as a "feature" on one of our garden walls.
I was never sure if the hut number was original or something added for the "Battle of Britain" film. Not sure where it is now but I never threw it away.
EDIT: This is it on our old shed back at the turn of the century!
