WW2 dispersal site Q?

Hi all, could anyone on here please enlighten me as to the purpose/use of these type of features I have seen on dispersal sites In the case of the two examples they are at Lissett, as seen on BfA EAW013952. I refer to the area defined by the track with a square across one side of it. Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Solid fuel store maybe?

I agree that they are Fuel Stores. That is, secure walled compounds for the storage of solid fuel such as coal, coke and anthracite. They had 'drive' through truck access for receipts and deliveries. Solid fuel rationing prevailed throughout the war and was considered as 'valuable and attractive'. In the cold British winters resident airman made many a 'raid' to secure extra fuel for the pot-bellied stoves in their huts.

The layout was an oval one-way road with the FC across one leg of the oval.
