Signs on RFC/RAF aerodromes in WW1

Could anyone assist with photographs or other sources of information regarding signs on RFC/RAF aerodromes in WW1. What sort of sign would be at the entrance if any in the UK? What sort of signs would appear on huts/buildings etc? All help gratefully received.

You might want to get in touch with Torquil Norman who I believe owns/runs the old RFC Rendcomb aerodrome. When I lived locally I remember that had a restored RFC aerodrome sign at the main gate and they'd restored several buildings.

It's not open to the public though and is a working business but if you explain what you're doing you may well be able to make a site visit. I'm afraid I don't know the contact details for the owner but you could try asking the Aerosuperbatics team based there:
