Don't know if any of you have been on the RAF museum site but there is a 4 min film of how they built and fitted the exhibits into the cold war museum at Cosford, most of it is done with a time lapse camera, but well worth a look...had a quick look but can't see it anywhere else on the forum...sorry if its been mentioned before ...Cheers PC.
All museum buildings these days are made to be just big enough to cram current exhibits. It's as though they don't expect additions.
I like to photograph aircraft and you can't do that properly in the crammed and cluttered halls.
However, they are preserved so I shouldn't complain.

I must be one of the few that really admire what Cosford has done. Generally I would agree with you PNK, I also like to take uncluttered pics of aircraft, however I do think that the RAFM got it just right with this one, and with a bit of time and patience some quite dramatic shots can be taken. It is slightly on the cluttered side, but getting a Valiant, Victor, Vulcan, York, Hastings, Belfast, and more under cover is no mean feat.
The only bad thing was when BA refused to carrry on funding the airliner collection and most of it was cut up on site!
Talking of Cosford, have you noticed we don't have a dedicated thread on this important airfield! Some of the expansion buildings are in really good nick.
