There is a quite a lot on here which may trigger some discussion but in its own right, has some very useful definitions.

Interesting lists/info - it would be nice to see some accompanying illustrations (none found where I looked).

Hi CDP,

Archaeologists love to make lists...! The list you referred to is for defence sites from all periods, including Roman and medieval. You might like to check out these two sites.

The first is the Defence of Britian project thesaurus, which lists types of defensive monuments relating to the 20th century in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Loads of stuff on airfields here, but alas no images Scapa. It would be a useful development...

The second is the Historic Aircraft Types index. It was created to aid the recording of aircraft remains and crash sites, listing aircraft types by form, function and manufacturer. See:
