I'm not a big graffitti fan, but when they are done properly they look really good.

I have already posted this shot somewhere else on AIX, but this is in an office in the Main Stores at Driffield. Return trip in near future.

First is an Ardvaark inside one of the trashed buildings at Upwood. The Comet and what appears to be a MiG were inside a very run-down building at Poddington, reputedly used at one time by the Air Cadets.

I came across this item of graffiti (it was drawn onto a piece of Asbestos sheeting) at the Fenland and West Norfolk Aviation Museum where it is on display. The story is that it was found on Mr Brown's farm in Clenchwarton when dismantling what he believed to be an old Army hut, but obviously it originally came from a building used by the Royal Flying Corps. The farmer could not remember where the building had come from and I suppose chances of finding out after all this time are nil. It could have come from any of the RFC aerodromes in the area, Tydd St Mary, Sedgeford or Narborough.

I have no idea, but why would Kaiser Wilhelm II be depicted in context with the RFC - although the handlebar mustache fits, I am guessing that many British men would at the time also have worn one? And what is the thing on the back of his head, I am wondering, or am I imagining it?
