saw a doc on Mosquito ops last night on History. Made with Ontario tax payers money, of even more note was the Chap called Denis, seemed to know his onions when it came to RAF Hunsdon.

Has it screened in the UK yet?

err..it is!

Filmed at Hunsdon with the crew from Breakthrough Films . The historian is Canadian Norm Christie who has been involved in telling much of Canada's military history on television.



They approached me early in 2007, they wanted to tell the tale of the Canadian nightfighter and intruder ops from Hunsdon amongst other bits and bobs. I just put them in touch with a pilot and a navigator to interview, carried out a little research for them, and generally showed them around. Thoroughly enjoyed meself!

Norm is well know for his stuff here. What I want to know is why you were in shirt sleves and the big tough Canadain was trussed up like he was expecting a snow storm!

So I am guessing you have not seen this in the UK yet, keep an eye out it is a good series.

Continuity, plain and simple.
This was the gear he wore while filming in France which was apparently cold, while we here were relatively basking in a tropical 16 celcius:-D.

Talking of Hunsdon, does anyone know of a V1 [doodlebug] hitting the sergeants' mess there ?. My father ,a flight sergeant, was stationed there for a time and he told me of it. I've never managed to confirm it.
