An excerpt from The Rules of this Competition reads:
If any of these Rules are deemed to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, the affected rules shall be deleted from these Competition Rules but the remaining rules shall continue in full force and effect.
I fell about when I read this. As one who had been to daily, interminable conferences on TEV Rangitira (on it's way south to Falkland in 1982) to write The Ships Orders (apparently the Fish-Heads (both Civvy & Military) like this sort of thing!). I was Duty Officer when Rangatira "Crossed The Line". Next morning at 0800 I handed over my DO duties in the presence of OC Troops. I reported that there had been a visitation of Royalty on the Upper Deck on the previous afternoon. "Woyalty?" said the half colonel! "What was all that about?". I then had to explain about King Neptune - why are the Pongoes so unhumorous?
I only put this into this website because there is nowhere else to put it - and the Rangatira did have a helideck welded on to The Blunt End, so it must qualify??????
