Looks more like late 50s or early 60s to me.

The airfield closed in 1947 (july)
then given to Ministry of Ariculture and Fisheries in 1953 (september) could it be part of that ?

Well its definately of mid-1950s Government origin, the clue is the windows!

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
