Very practical! Then again I have never been through a flak box!

I seem to recall that airborne troops sometimes sat on body armour as ground fire was particularly alarming.

I always smile at the use of the description 'bullet proof'. But then, before the Trade Descriptions Act came into force my wrist watch was engraved as 'Waterproof' but I found out that it wasn't!

Maybe the body armor was bullet proof but not shell fragment proof:)
