Shadow Trainer

The other gunnery training simulators in the hangar had audio tracks played over loudspeakers.
As the headset and throat microphone are connected to a standard USAAF aircraft intercom box, presumably the instructors could talk to the trainees directly and cut out the background noise.

What appears to be the same system was also used at Molesworth, here showing the trainees' view of the shadow cast through the screen:
