I'm unsure if such a thread exists on here, if it does please move or delete it mods.

From youtube there are many good airfield related videos, Poddington in particular seems well covered.

Perhaps this should be in the Airfield Quiz thread. An RAF accident prevention film in which a Mossie is crash-landed deliberately and an Oxford and a Spit are bent in taxying prangs. The Oxford looks like it was at an MU. It served with No (P)AFU at South Cerney throughout its career. The Spit, ML269 was with 441 Sqn then to the Mediterranean and finally to Greek AF in 1947. Could be a RAF Greek airfield, Hassani perhaps?

As its a training type film could it have been Booker? Handy for Denham studios.

Brilliant, I don't know if anyone else recognised him but the pilot is the same one that appears in 'The Sound Barrier' film, as the second test-pilot.
That first sequence with the Oxford is ASU heaven, the housing estate and Horsa MU should give clues to where it is.

Well remembered Mr Mawgan! I thought his face was familiar but couldn't think where from. I wonder if the ASU is Brize Norton ...

Yes I think it is Wattisham, although perhaps some members could confirm this, they may have served there. Joluqa does put some brilliant videos on there
