Cold War era Relief Landing Ground for RAF Finningley and RAF Lindholme.

Grass landing field with perimeter tarmac taxiway, and perimeter lighting. No hangerage visible. Fuel bunkerage at nearby M18/M180 services.

These were originally sited outside the Doncaster dome leisure complex, itself built on the former Doncaster airfield. Along with various other structures including locomotives, they were themed flower beds part of the Towns bid to be a 'Town in bloom' or something such. Not sure when it was or if they won but most of the structures have gone I believe.

I did wonder why they were there, I'm surprised that someone got it so right.

Wasn't the Dome the site of the Uk's first air display on that field. I remember (not personally that old !) that Bill Cody was there.

No that was on the racecourse just across the road from the field which became the original Doncaster Airport
And it was Samuel Franklin Cody (real name actually 'Cowdery') from Farnborough not 'Bill' Cody!!
