After having a quick look over on the Key forums, it came as great shock to read of the recent death of Ray Sturtivant.

For those who know of his meticulous work and numerous publications he was one of those authors who set a benchmark. Always easy to read, often making a fiercely hard subject readable, he will be sadly missed. I will treasure his books and the work he did with Air Britain.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Chris

Shocking News - there is no one on this planet that could replace him and the ground-breaking work that he has done. In my opinion he is one of the, if not the greatest historian of the 20th Century on matters concerning the RAF / Fleet Air Arm / RNAS etc.

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
