Lakenheath was featured on 'The One Show' last night (with a mention of a possible closure). It was said to be the 'largest of the twelve US Air Force bases in the UK'.
And the other eleven are...
(Wiki gives a total of ten).

They were probably using out of date info and including Upwood in the twelve.
The remaining eleven are:
Alconbury
Barford St. John
Blenheim Crescent
Croughton
Fairford
Feltwell
Lakenheath
Menwith Hill
Mildenhall
Molesworth
Welford

Unsure on present status but the JMF 'TUB' at St Mawgan, though unmanned as such might still be operational remotely by the USN.

I think that closed at the end of 2006

I guess I should have put this in the title.
