1485 Squadron ATC/Summer Camps at Cowdray Park WWII

Hello All

Does anyone have a list of WWII ATC squadrons anywhere? Cadets from 1485 Squadron were regular visitors to Cowdray Park on camp and I am trying to find out where they came from. They seemed to share camps with 225 Squadron which appear to still be going strong - Brighton No 1, as far as I can see.

I have just discovered that 1485 Squadron was a Brighton Squadron. The information was included in a letter I had filed away years ago from a Brighton cadet which I have just found again. Anyway, just in case the information is of use to anyone else at a future date. There is nothing like replying to one's own thread!

There is an incomplete list of squadrons in the book 'CHALLENGE IN THE AIR , The story of the Air Training Corps by Bryan Philpott , Model and Allied Publications , 1971 .

Details of many Yorkshire based squadrons can be found in 'WINGS OF YOUTH' by Ray Kidd , self published and printed by MaxPrint of York in 2004 .

Several squadrons have published their own individual history books but these are quite rare to find and the only one in my collection is
No 104 (CITY OF CAMBRIDGE) SQUADRON AIR TRAINING CORPS , the first fift six years 1939 - 1994 which is both written and published by Sir Arthur Marshall , £5 , ISBN 0 9526309 0 7 and as you would perhaps expect is a well produced booklet .
