Prefab buildings

I drove through Poringland this afternoon and took a couple of pics of this building. It's now the Village hall but I wondered if it was a wartime prefab building?

Whatever it is its unusual.

Still quite a few tin mission huts dotted around Wales. For a while they seemed very popular on urbex bulletin boards ....which could well account for their rapid deterioration in recent years.

They are still with us and still being built. Travelodges on motorways are in effect prefabs, the new Sgts mess at Kinloss was built to the same design as a one back in the late nineties. Apparently they have a lif of about 15-20 years, so that Sgts mess will need replacing soon, although knowing MOD itll be replaced in about 100 years!
