Hi,
Any one help with a list of airfields that are close to the Lincolnshire border along the A1 etc?
Few days away next week so seeing what is close by as staying in Lincoln and Grantham areas.

What kind of airfields? Any airfields? military airfields? active airfields?
Between Grantham and Lincoln and easy distance to the side of the corridor between those
Spitalgate
Barkston Heath
Bottesford
Cranwell
Fulbeck
Houghham
Leadenham
Wellingore
Digby
Waddington
West Common
South Hyeham
Fiskerton
Metheringham
Swinderby
etc. etc.

The A1 & Balderton really couldn't be much nearer to each other could they?

Buckminster (although now the MT sheds have gone there's nothing left)
I suppose at a push you could add Wittering & King's Cliffe to the list as well. Very much on & near the A1 & quite close to the Lincolnshire border.

Surely this topic should be in the Airfield Discussion bit.
Good to see all the airfields listed, Wigsley is a must if you haven't been, the tower is unique
