I have to say to all the guests arriving on this site that this is one of the most informative and friendly sites i have ever been involved with. I find it a great pleasure knowing the Admins and the Moderators who without could not of made any of the information i now posses and knowledge happen. I would also like to add that since being on this site i have made a few site visits and met a few members off this forum and have found that i have never met such a nicer bunch of chaps in my life.

So in a nutshell if you are interested in airfields and such like and want to make some great new friends then please join AIX and i promise you will not regret it.

That is certainly a valid point and if you consider that , in almost all aviation forums , the emphasis and interest is on aircraft rather than airfields , I think that to be well on the way towards the 500 mark in a comparatively short time is very good going .

I for one wouldlike to offer congratulations to those behind the site for what they have achieved in a short time....this is likely to become a resource of great importance to airfield researchers.

Its odd too that the largest number of hits on AiX, came just a month or so after the forum was set up when we were visited by 54 people in a five minute period.

I think that that was probably caused by a link being posted(for the first time) somewhere that had high traffic such as the PPrune forums ...I've noticed a simalar effect with my Simmonds Spartan site - I posted on a thread on Key about Simmonds - with a link to my page - and traffic went through the roof for a couple of days before settling back to the usual levels.
