I have just checked what's to come airshow wise this year. On Dear. What an utterly pathetic schedule from the government. Cosford. That's it. The only show to have the RAF prefix. TF for RIAT. No Waddington again. I'm slow on the uptake these days but I think the notion of 'Battle of Britain Day' has gone. Is the government now too scared of its citizens to display itself?
At least the slack will be taken up by the commercial sector, Shuttleworth, Stowe Maries, Duxy etc. More power to them.
BoB displays were dedicated to charities such as the RAFBF but how come the one-off Scampton show back in 2017 made a loss apparently?

Do they still fly at 300 ft? I recently digitised my cine of RAF Biggin Hill "Battle of Britain at Home" day in September 1972 and the Spitfire flew very low and when Concorde did a fly by that was low for an airliner as well. I might try and edit a short clip for the seventies section.

The minimum display height for most display aircraft (RAF Typhoon etc) is 100 feet.

Lighter aircraft are still allowed lower & closer these days but this can also depend on the venue. They are certainly allowed lower & closer at Shuttleworth.

Peter, It would be great to see those photos. :)

They skies over Dartford have been oddly quiet on the display aircraft front this year. Even the regular Spitfire flyovers have been greatly reduced, although that may be due to a change of regular routes.

We were at my daughter's house on Sunday, making a dog proof fence when a low flying Sea Fury passed overhead. I assume it was from the Eastbourne air show but no idea which one it was. At first I thought it was a P-47 but it didn't have that distinctive clatter of the Double Wasp. Living in the Kentish Weald she is also in "Spitfire Alley".
