Identifying Ground Equipment help needed.

Hi all,

My first post but I think I'll be finding this forum very interesting.

I'm trying to identify the yellow four wheeled piece of ground equipment in the foreground of this picture. I've been informed it is linked with the Oxygen trolley.

I want to find drawings if possible to model in 1/72 scale, but so far I'm finding it hard to get any information as I'm not sure what the unit is called.

Many thanks,

Gemma

The trolley with the 4 bottles on is either air or nitrogen - grey cylinders -- oxygen version had black cylinders. The yellow trolley is a liquid oxygen (LOX)transport trolley. The Lightening used LOX as opposed to gaseos oxygen; BW models do both those items in 1/76

Almost certainly Nitrogen that was required for topping-up main and nose wheels and hydraulic reservoirs. Although HP air was the usual medium for cocking guns during loading, the armourers were happy to use Nitrogen since it avoided having two rigs on site.

Jaguars always used nitrogen for cocking the guns. I was told they used it because it's cheap, being readily available as a gas (by-product of other processes) easy to remove moisture from (reduces freezing at altitude) and won't support combustion if it leaks.
