Ahh, the Fw.190, a beast of an aircraft. Just as well there weren't enough of them about to do their potential worst. Oddly, during the 1943/44 Fw.190 'tip & run' raids over the south coast, the RAF decided that the silhouette of the Hawker Typhoon looked too similar to the Fw.190, so Typhoons was given sets of black & white invasion style stripes well before 6th. June. And when Typhoons began their own 'Rhubarb' operations over Europe especially afer D-Day, the pilots began wearing army issue battle dress as several of their downed pals had been shot in mistake for Luftwaffe pilots.

Could work both ways I suppose? Maybe the Germans didn't shoot at, in the air, or from the ground at Typhoons believing they were FW 190s. Hope so anyway...
