Yes, someone linked it before on AiX but worth a second look; an amazing model layout right down to the accuracy at the end of the take-off where the 'plane smashes into a wall of thick murky black rain cloud Heathrow style:)

This is at Miniatur Wunderland, the world's largest model railway, in Hamburg. I went last year with my son for his birthday and it took us all day to see it all. The airport is based upon Hamburg airport and was undergoing testing as it wasn't yet finished. Amazing, just incredible.

Here we go, it's truly massive and every 20 minutes it gets dark and all the models light up. The newer areas have cars that drive by themselves and of course now the airport. The model covers many different countries (though not he UK yet) and to get the record for the 'Worlds Larget' it has to be possible to run one train from one end to the next. To climb the floors there is a massive helix of track that you can see the trains climbing. Awesome.
