Having consulted my local model kit supplier it seems that Airfix don't currently supply a Wellington, but he's looking around for me with his other suppliers.
The only one I've found online is Italian are we down to foreigners producing kits of our famous aircraft?

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!
I believe the Revell kit is a re boxing of the old Matchbox kit. I could be mistaken, but I'm sure I've read on one of the kit forums that the moulds have suffered a bit over the years - the geodetic structure that was subtly visible on the wings of the original Matchbox kit is no longer there.
The old Matchbox Wellington is a nice little kit, basic by modern standards, but it has just the right amount of surface detail and just looks right when built. I would guess this is what the Revell kit is based on, I'm a fan of the Coastal Command XIV and have done a couple of these now.
A modern high tech option is the Trumpeter Wellington X (they also do a XIV) kit, this is hugely detailed and nice to build, however it is criticized for its overdone surface detail, this can be rubbed down a bit though.
The Italeri one arrived today & doesn't look too bad a kit, it's got decals for 4 squadrons & 2 OTU's & for some reason the exhausts are made of resin.
