1960s Period Orkney Aircraft for a diorama

Recently I have decided to create a model of an airport in scale for a model railway however I'm in need of a particular type of aircraft. I have decided to do a very rural model and so I decided that it would be best to model it off a rural airport. The first that sprang to mind was the airports of the Orkneys (Westray, Sandray, Eday, etc. not Kirkwall though). I'm not sure whether or not these airports were open in 1960s but even if they weren't, what sort of aircraft would have operated from here? I know currently aircraft such as Twin Otters currently operate but as I'm not a big aircraft expert I have no clue what sort of aircraft would have been equivalent to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of books on the various airline services in Scotland with plenty of illustrations. They seem to be published by Aberdeen Museum - no ISBN on them that I can see.

Flying Against the Elements
A Flying Start to the Day
Rivals in the North
