Locked threads

Having been a forum administrator elsewhere on other forums in the past, I can fully understand the need for locked threads - especially when they cover aspects of the forum and its usage and abusage to fourumites both old and new.

However, as the ones in this forum are dotted around the place as threads have been locked, it has, to me, made things a little 'scruffy'.

As the majority of the locked threads concern the usage/abusage of the forum, they ought to be in a 'special place' where they can be accessed by members (old and new) readily.

So... howzabout moving them all into a new sub-forum (between "Index" and "Recent Topics") so that they are all one place and not disappearing of the bottom of the "Topics" area never to be seen, or referred to, again?

The new Locked threads are mainly in the "Forum Comments, Issues, HOW TO's and FAQ's" area and in some cases are a consolidation of earlier discussions.

There are some locked threads elsewhere which are required for announcements etc. or in the Members area for research notes etc

Similarly there are a number of Pinned threads, where discussions/responses are possible
Part of the problem is that there are many ways of looking at the forum and there are a limited number of tools and techniques available

Anyway, the current activity is ongoing as time permits

(PS i will be moving this to the Forum Comments section ...... ;) )
