We have now enabled private message pop notifications for when a user receives a PM.
To enable this function for your account, go to the messenger screen. In the bottom left corner of that screen (above the green footer) you will see the word "settings". Click on this and select "Enable Pop Up Notification"
If you do use this facility please feedback your experiences.
Checked the Settings as suggested and found it already checked. I get a one line notification top RH corner when in Recent screen. Not exactly an 'in-your-face' pop-up, you have to look for it.

It should "Pop up" and disappear whenever you go on a new page.
Coincidence! I got my first 'balloon' pop-up in the top lefthand corner when I logged on today and it caught my attention immediately. Prior to that Incoming PMs were shown by a small green text note in top right.
