'SKYEHOUSE' 616 (S Yorks) Sqn Bombing Range post war

I have found an entry in 616's ORB dated 28/11/46 (AIR27/2524/1) that refers to a range chosen as part of the effort to resurrect 616 at Finningley post war. It refers to a location as Skyehouse, but it does not seem to exist, or, at least, I can't find it. There is a Sykehouse, however, which looks and sounds like it could do the job, some nine miles NE of Donny.
The Lat/long co-ords given in the report bring me to the Sunk Island Sands, on the N banks of the Humber near Patrington. Hence the inverted commas in the title. Does anyone know more please?

Sykehouse was certainly a bombing range but I have it noted as relinquished in 1946. If it had been handed back to the owners at the time, getting it back would have been a huge battle, lasting a couple of years or more.

It is also odd because i have come across mention of the Sunk Light vessel being used as an aiming point, along with others off the east coast, for camera gun work. I assume the range mentioned was Sykehouse and that the lat/long are incorrect. It seems that lat/longs are more often incorrect than grid references and have been a constant source of annoyance when plotting locations.

Below is a map showing the location of Sykehouse range.

...the Lat/long co-ords given in the report bring me to the Sunk Island Sands, on the N banks of the Humber near Patrington.

I put those figures into Ed Fielden's converter and it produced SE 646 160 which is HERE

I wondered if you'd used 'east of Greenwich' instead of west. That produces TA 999 198 which is way east of Spurn Head in the North Sea.

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

Another interesting fact regarding Sykehouse is that the target had a large circle of dashes around it, possibly at 150ft radius and this was somewhat unusual for a non-USAAF target. I haven't come across the reason for this but assume it was to increase visibility. Targets used by the USAAF often have extra rings around them so that they were more visible at the greater bombing heights but finding evidence is difficult as it relies on an aerial photo being taken at the time they were in situ.
