Airfield ground markings reference - interwar

Sadly one reasonable source was the Flight Magazine Archive which held PDF version of every issue from that period and often contained updates and Notices to Airmen. This has now disappeared into the ether and will probably never resurface as they have been updating the website for over two years now.

I suspect the main reference would be "The Air Pilot" from that period but these are hard to come by and a search will be frustrating as it is still going.

I believe the archive at Farnborough, I can't recall its name, has copies of many NOTAMS from the pre-war era. There was a list published at one time but I can't recall where or by whom.

Sorry a bit vague, to sat the least, but maybe it will jog someone's memory.
