Is there anyone out there who can convert old grid ref co-ords please? I'm trying to locate the whereabouts of "54-966683". I've been on the Fielden site, and, by tweaking and nearly twerking various parameters, have come up with somewhere in Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, but I'm just stabbing at it without much idea.
The site is supposed to be in Nottinghamshire, but I don't know where. Any steer welcome!

Assuming it should be vK 966 683 it lands just east of Hucknall (town not airfield) at SK50431 48300 at Brooksbreasting Farm.

Thank You Peter. As it happens, Brookbreasting Farm is a private microlight strip (the name refers to the land being a watershed) I used vF when I tried. All the same, Damn! It isn't where I hoped it would be!

I did have an overlay for the wartime grid letters and also a British Isles map showing major towns and cities overlaid with the wartime grid but I saved them somewhere safe years ago and not found them since!

This has a good range of grid conversions.

www.fieldenmaps.info/cconv/cconv_gb.html

You often hear that format <SHEET NUMBER> < GRID>

Enables someone to quickly grab the right sheet then go to the grid.

I use this one regularly
