In the Historic England Archive is image raf_58_4649_v_0015A vertical aerial showing the SSA at the 10 o.clock position and, in the top right-hand corner, the building discussed below showing an access track from the road. Image dated 29 August 1961. East is to the top of the image.

I have tried to embed the image here but failed.

this is a 1979 view along the Fosse Way which I believe captures the SSA possibly before the BFI took it on.    www.cambridgeairphotos.com/location/cjz24/

If you look at the map extract i posted you can make out in the top left hand corner a wooded area entitled Lighthorne  rough this corresponds to the woods behind the site in the photograph that Kebecker has located  and it is indeed the Bomb store site .
