Now we have formal access to our new building, dates for the working parties can be announced.
Starting this coming weekend, Saturday January 4th and Sunday 5th, 10.30am start both days, and continuing every Saturday and Sunday until the relocation is complete.
Volunteers have a choice of working locations, either in our current facility in 519 boxing up the archive collections, or in the new building, 1008, doing a spot of intensive DIY...
All welcome.
Those who haven't volunteered at the Archive before will need to do a brief Safety Induction on arrival.
Thanks in advance,
PB

Thanks you to all who came along and helped today.
The 519 Section got the archive boxes stacked and started dismantling the heavy-duty shelving, plus filed most of the unsorted building drawings for transportation.
While they were doing that the 1008 Section were looking into the drains, and got some security improvements ready to install tomorrow.
Well done all round, a great first day.

Can't believe that this was Eight years ago. Paul Francis and I had just arrived from RAF Uxbridge with that van full of memorabilia for the Archive. Paul Bellamy already being there to meet us. So Three Paul's together. Seems to me like last month !
The Dead got memorials, The living got time.
