FAQ - My username is my email address..... ?

We don't recommend that you use your email address as your username.

This is because your username is visible publicly both to forum users and to Bots or other people who are not forum members and so my result in you receiving unwanted emails later

And anyway it is likely be too long to sit comfortably in the space available when you make a post

Supplying your email address during the registration process is a requirement of joining the forum, but that part of your profile is not visible to other forum users
